Lou Jones: The panAFRICAproject

For the last few years the Lou Jones studio has been traveling to Africa and photographing the fifty four independent countries, country by country. However they are taking a very different approach; rather than highlighting the negative viewpoints that western media places on the continent of poverty, pestilence and conflict, they are documenting normal contemporary life. In this new kind of photojournalism they try to dispel the spurious myths that people think about Africa and concentrate on the billion citizens who go to work every day, raise their children, and make innovations within industry, education, culture, medicine, business, sports, and agriculture.
